По всей видимости, 2018 год будет весьма знаменательным для данного проекта.

After two years of development DIONS has been launched two weeks ago. Since then we experienced some instability in the Blockchain and wallet (front-end issues mostly). The Blockchain is stable now and looking better everyday. More and more people are getting the new wallets up and running and staking their coin. They -as of now- receive an average of 4% staking reward instead of 1%. Thats a big improvement. We are releasing a QT version as well so people that only want to stake can use this wallet. Specialised features like messaging are not available in that QT version.
The development team and community members are working hard to help everybody with getting their wallets up. Some are an easy fix, some require more help than others. Due to the infinite number of different system setups it is normal that some users are having slight issues setting up wallets. The team and community is here to help.
We asked Bittrex to take down the wallet some time ago to ensure the safety of everybody’s tokens as a precautionary measure. Now the chain has been stabilised we asked Bittrex a few days back to update and put the wallet back online. Due to the ETH problems (something to do with digital pets) they have their hands full on getting the ETH chain stabilised. So its not just us that (had) issues. We have to wait for Bittrex to update our chain and open up the wallet. Its not something we can influence.
New phase
We entered a new phase of the I/O Digital Blockchain Platform. With the features of secure messaging, DIONS registry, Alias system and file upload, the I/O Digital environment switched from a Blockchain with a token to a token with a Blockchain platform with the capability of transacting 4MB blocks. Thats an amazing achievement.
The HTML5 wallet is basically a proof of concept / showcase of what is technically possible with the I/O Digital Blockchain and is a gift for the everyday user by the development team. For the business side of things you should consider building a specifically for-purpose solution and integrate directly with the I/O Digital Blockchain platform. The team will provide API documentation.
As the team said earlier in communications that the marketing of the platform is not something for the dev team to do. Some interpreted this the wrong way and some picked up the work and came together to help the project out. As the team said: dev needs to dev, others need to market. And this is exactly what we are going to do.
Yesterday we had a great meeting with members of the community and outside advisors about the (re-)positioning of IO now that we entered the next phase. We discussed a lot of great things to do for the awareness of the I/O Digital Blockchain.
We have identified different “target audiences” like:
Stakers
Traders
Business
General awareness Blockchain / crypto
Every target group has their own needs and the “I/O Community Marketing team” and advisors will think of ways to inform these people in different ways. Like the IOC giveaway to get more people to stake or for general awareness leading to new traders or stakers. Also looking at times press releases, a new roadmap based on input from development team and community ideas, work with influencers, maybe a celebrity or partner up with a marketing agency. For all of this we will - internally - create a marketing calendar and seek people to help out in any of the areas.
We are proposing to have one team overseeing all marketing actions and individually be responsible for a target group(s) and people helping in that target group. Once a week the "I/O Community Marketing team” will meet each other and talk about the progress and needs from their target audience.
If you have any affiliation with one of the target audiences and want to help out in writing articles, create a video, raise awareness, give input etc, then you are more than welcome. Soon we will reach out and you can then apply.
Skyscraper
The development team is creating a skyscraper. The foundation of this great building is created with the release of DIONS. With this new technology, and grounds where no other project has gone before, we will always need to keep securing a strong foundation for future usage. We want the building to keep standing in strong winds and learn along the way. Since winds directions and force change in this Blockchain landscape quite often the development team will continue to alter the foundation of this magnificent structure.
Now is the time to slowly start creating new levels higher and higher and let the Blockchain world experience the strength of the I/O Digital Blockchain.
